Volatile Oils

Volatile oils can be categorised as plants that are very fragrant when you grind them up. When we crush them up, we can extract the oils, which can be used for an untold number of things. You've more than likely seen oils advertised online to aid with any number of problems, such as lavender for sending you off to sleep, all the way to basil for unblocking a nose. These oils usually work by being administered to the skin, or inhaled.

Resin

Resin is the sap released from trees, for example, pine resin. It's thick, often amber coloured and will probably be hardened (but can be softened with heat). Trees release this resin to heal wounds, so think for a second about what it could do for you. Exactly! Stem blood flow and heal wounds!
